Which Missal is Right For Me?

This handy guide helps you determine which missal is right for you

Which missal should I get?

With so many different missals to choose from, how can you know which one is for you? This handy guide helps you determine which missal is right for your needs!

Daily Missal vs Weekday Missal

    • The CTS New Daily Missal is ideal if you want everything in one volume. You will never need another missal if you get this one. It includes all Sunday, weekday, and feast day readings across the entire liturgical cycle. It’s perfect for those who attend Mass frequently, follow the Church year closely, or want a single long-term missal for prayer and study.

    • The CTS New Weekday Missal is a simpler option, focusing solely on weekday Masses (Monday to Saturday) and therefore does not include readings for Sundays. Almost 1000 pages smaller than the Daily Missal, it is lighter and ideal for those who either already have a separate Sunday missal, or who don’t want to carry around a large missal.

Choosing a Sunday Missal

All CTS Sunday Missals beautifully present the new texts of the Lectionary along with Mass texts in side-by-side Latin and English and short introductions to the main feasts by recent Popes.

Daily and Weekday Missals

The Daily Missal contains everything you need for Mass for every day of the week including Sundays. On the other hand, the Weekday Missal JUST covers weekday Mass - that is, Masses on Monday-Saturday but NOT Sundays.
