Act of Consecration

(St Claude de la Colombière)

O adorable Saviour, vouchsafe my desire to consecrate myself entirely to the love and reparation of thy divine Heart and to accept the gift I make to thee of all that I am and all that I have. In reparation for all the outrages committed against thee and for the terrible ingratitude thou dost suffer from men, I consecrate to thee myself and my life. Give and take what thou wilt; use me or set me aside as a useless instrument; give me consolations or give me trials; may thy will be done in all things. May all this glorify thy divine Heart and make reparation to it. I wish to make a full gift of all this to thee, begging thee to accept it and use it freely for the salvation of sinners. Amen.

Personal or Individual Consecration

O most Holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with a lively sorrow for my sins, I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and completely obedient to your Will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger, comfort me in all afflictions, give me health of mind, body and soul, assistance in my temporal needs, Your Blessings on all that I do, and the Grace of a holy death. Amen.

Act of Consecration

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled with infinite love, broken by my ingratitude, pierced by my sin, yet loving me still, accept the consecration that I make to you of all that I have and all that I am. Take every faculty of my soul and body and draw me day by day nearer and nearer to your Sacred side and there, as I may bear the lesson, teach me your blessed ways. Amen.
