Description

The first Catholic to use video for catechesis and evangelisation, Archbishop Fulton Sheen offers us a very modern example of holiness. In addition to his weekly television programme, for which so many Catholics fondly remember him, he was also a prolific author, a renowned lecturer, and a tireless teacher, offering classes for conversion long before there was any formal programme or rite for such initiations. He also spent many years serving as National Director of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith and as a bishop. His fervour was supported by a strong inner life of prayer and a deep sense of vocation.

Blessed Fulton Sheen was beatified on 24th September 2026.
