An adaptable resource for your parish Adult Catechesis * RCIA * Parish Courses confirmation preparation * youth catechesis marriage preparation * self-instruction.

Evangelium is a resource which enables all parishes to run courses for adults on the Catholic Faith.

It offers an excellent grounding in the full panorama of Catholic beliefs. A modular resource, it follows the same division as the Catechism of the Catholic Church into Creed, Sacraments, Morals and Prayer. It is adaptable to different parish situations and can even be led by non-experts when necessary.

How does Evangelium work?

Evangelium delivers the essential elements of Catholic beliefs and practice in concise and stimulating portions, using slide presentations (in PowerPoint®) and illustrated participants' books. The presentations can be easily led by group leaders whether or not they feel confident in teaching the faith: each module is clearly structured, and the resources offer leaders all the support they will need to present it.

Great book to go along with the rest of the course material, very clearly laid out and is very useful for those preparing through RCIA and even as a starting point for confirmation preparation!

We use the Evangelium Participants book along side the Presenters Guide book for the Catechesis of our RCIA candidates and have been doing so for the last number of years. The participants book is a very straight forward book based on an easy to follow structure. In our parish we also use alongside this book the YOUCAT as a study aid and guide for all our RCIA candidates in their preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation. I would recommend both books to anyone questioning their faith or preparing for the Sacraments of the Church. Fr. Kevin Conway SMA

Mr CTS Reviews

"We use Evangelium as the basis of our RCIA catechesis. Our participants find it engaging and beautifully illustrated, and our presenters appreciate that it makes lesson planning quick and easy and that it makes generous use of sacred art. We have found that Evangelium allows for a great deal of flexibility, yet we can be confident that the basics will be covered no matter who is presenting on a particular topic. Evangelium is one of the best resources available and I recommend it to RCIA leaders at every opportunity." John Knutsen, RCIA Coordinator, St. Mary Magdalen parish, Berkeley, California, USA
