2014 marks the centenary of the start of the ‘Great War’ – the war to end all wars. In a world still rife with conflict and war, what service or insights can we learn from the past? This is the amazing story of Willie Doyle SJ, who died in the trenches at Passchendaele in 1917, serving the soldiers under his care. A brave and popular Catholic chaplain, Willie lived a life of great courage, adventure and personal holiness. He offers great hope to displaced generations of today.

K.V. Turley is a London based freelance writer and filmmaker with a degree in theology from the Maryvale Institute.

Have become very impressed with Fr. Doyle and am also reading his daily notes which are wonderful spiritual direction. This holy priest should be canonized!
